Kathryn Holt
Kathryn (Kate) is an audit partner with BDO and is responsible for managing third party attestation engagements across the Northeast. Kate has 20 years of experience in information systems and evaluating internal controls. Her areas of specialty include System and Organization Controls (SOC) examinations (including the AICPA’s SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 and ISAE 3400 and 3402), custom criteria assessments, internal control audits, and operational and compliance audits. Kate has served a broad range of clients, from startup organizations to multinational companies. In addition to serving as the executive in charge and quality executive for SOC reports, she has also supported multiple clients in establishing and deploying their third-party attestation program, including defining and establishing governance, supporting the development of a common control framework for use across a wide variety of reports, and drafting and deploying common sections of reports for use across the organization. Prior to joining BDO, Kate held an executive position at a Big Four firm where she provided attestation services to many clients across the U.S. and globally.
