Sam Boardman is a Senior Marketing and Public Health double major, with a focus in public health promotion. The WOI Conference has provided Sam with an outlet that supports and fuels her passions relating to advocacy and empowerment of women in all sectors of life. As Vice President of Marketing for the 2019 Conference, Sam is thrilled to lead the marketing committee as they create and implement promotional strategies. The Committee’s main goal this year is to develop brand recognition for the Conference that exceeds the walls of Isenberg and extends off of the UMass campus.
In addition to serving on the Conference Committee, Sam is also Co-President of Isenberg Women in Business (WiB). WiB is a student organization that focuses on connecting students to support each other professionally and personally as they prepare for a successful career. This past summer, Sam completed a sales internship with Signature Consultants at their Boston office. In this position, Sam had the opportunity to build relationships with many of Signature’s local client to discover more about their I.T. staffing needs. She also worked on the recruiting side of business to help source and interview candidates to refer to clients. Sam appreciates the fast pace and social nature of sales, and looks forward to starting her career with Signature after graduation.
